He's inviting us as His people to take HIS yoke upon us. What does a yoke do? It binds us together. God wants us to rest. It says in Matthew 11:

²⁸Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

²⁹Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

³⁰For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

NOTES:

He will lift that load off of us and give us rest!
If you're living in unbelief you're living in disobedience and judgment
IF WE see all that's happening in the world it can bring unrest. The Lord is our REST. His burdon is light.
Obedience brings rest

Job 3

Look at the unrest in Job's life. Compare our lives to Job's.

Job 19:21-27

Job knows that his redeemer lives!

²⁸But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?

²⁹Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.

Job 42

SECRET OF REST - PRAYING FOR OTHER PEOPLE!

Vs 8, 10, 12 - The Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than the beginning.
Part of our rest is KNOWING THAT WE WILL SEE THE LORD ONE DAY WITH OUR OWN EYES.
Fix our eyes and our hope on ETERNITY. This lifetime is BRIEF.

Hebrews 3 & 4

⁴For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

4 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

entered not in because of unbelief

THERE IS NO PROBLEM THAT WE CAN FACE THAT GOD

DOESN'T ALREADY HAVE A SOLUTION! THIS IS REST!

Jeremiah 6 ¹⁶Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

1 Kings 3

We need wisdom like Solomon to discern between good and evil. This is key to rest. If we don't have discernment we will not know the way. We do not want to walk in the darkness. We need understanding to understand JUDGMENT.
